Bükra Kalayci è vincitrice al BENECON della Jean Monnet Fellowship 2015 per un Master Science “Innovation and Environmental Sustainability for International Development” con una tesi dal titolo “Industrial ecology for EU’s sustainable future: sustainable production and consumption approaches for a green and competitive industry”. Bükra ha un bachelor degree at the Suleyman Demirel University and a Master degree in Ingegneria Tessile alla Istanbul Technical University (ITU) nel 2010. È stata vincitrice di una borsa Erasmus at the Polytechnic University of Valencia nel 2008. Si è aggiudicata un dottorato di ricerca alla ITU in international co-supervision with SUN nel 2015 (in progress).
